The nursing staff at Drew Memorial Hospital is dedicated, compassionate, competent and above all, patient focused and committed to maintaining and enhancing quality care along with patient satisfaction in a cost-effective manner. Here, team nursing is a model from which we draw, adding detail and definition where needed. Each nurse is totally accountable for the continuity and coordination of patient care.
Drew Memorial exceeds 200 deliveries per year and that number continues to grow. Our specially trained team of obstetrical nurses work closely with the physician to insure each patient receives the best possible care. Emphasis is placed on providing each expectant mother with that "extra" attention and added support needed to assure a happy birthday for her baby. To encourage and facilitate participation of each expectant parent in the birth process, childbirth classes are offered free of charge to those who deliver at Drew Memorial Hospital.
Our Intensive Care Unit provides specialized care and treatment around the clock, seven days a week. The new wing is equipped with an eight bed Intensive Care Unit that provides cardiac and surgical intensive care. Each unit is staffed with highly trained nurses and technicians to provide specialized and personal care.
