Karen
Donaldson, Corporate Compliance Officer and Quality Management
Director at Drew Memorial Hospital is a native of Tulare, California.
Ms. Donaldson received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from
the University of Arkansas at Monticello (then A&M). She is a Medical
Technologist with an ASCP Registry, was certified as an Infection Control
Practitioner (CIC), and has a certification in Health Care Quality (CPHQ).
She is a charter member of the Southeast Arkansas Quality Initiative,
represents the organization on the Chamber of Commerce, and serves as
an instructor in quality management principles. She is a past Secretary
of the Arkansas Healthcare Risk Management Association, is a past Board
Member of the Arkansas Association for Health Care Quality, served as
Secretary - Treasurer of AAHQ, and has served as a member of the National
Association for Healthcare Quality. She is a member of the Association
of Professionals in Infection Control (APIC), Healthcare Compliance Association
and former board member of the Drew County Chapter of the American Red
Cross.
Ms. Donaldson has
co-authored two articles on quality for the Arkansas Quality Conference
and served as an examiner for the 1997 & 1998 Arkansas Quality Award.
She is also a trained facilitator.

Sarah
Flemister, Director of Nursing at Drew Memorial Hospital is a lifelong
resident of Monticello. She attended Monticello Public Schools and graduated
from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with an Associate Degree
in Nursing in 1992. She is currently a member of Arkansas Organization
for Nurse Executives, Arkansas Nurses' Association and the Case Management
Society of America. She has received facilitator training and holds current
certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric
Advanced Life Support), BLS ( Basic Life Support) and is a certified CPR
instructor. In addition she has had previous training in the Trauma Nurse
Corp Curriculum.
Ms. Flemister has
been employed with Drew Memorial Hospital since 1991. During her tenure
she has served in all clinical nursing areas as well as in the Case Management
department before accepting the Director of Nursing position.
Ms. Flemister is married
to Mike Flemister, also a Monticello native, and they have 5 children.
Brooke, Matthew and Max all attend Monticello schools and Brady and Cait
are in daycare. Her outside interests include sports, reading, music and
spending time with her family.
