Drew Memorial Hospital receives Medicaid IQI award for 2012.
The Arkansas State Department of Health and Human Services awarded Drew Memorial Hospital along with 24 other hospitals the Inpatient Quality Incentive (IQI) program award in a ceremony during the annual Arkansas Hospital Association meeting in Little Rock, Thursday October 4th, 2012. The award was given for improving the quality of care for patients.
Arkansas Medicaid Director, Andy Allison handed out the awards to hospitals as part of its pay for performance Inpatient Quality incentive awards program. The program tracks hospitals
performance in several clinical categories based on evidenced based medicine and best practice in hospitals across the United States. Over $4.1 million in bonus payments were made to the hospitals, DMH received $ 52,050 bonus payment for improving care. This is the third year in a row DMH has received the prestigious award.
